The ATF ligament, or Anterior Talofibular ligament, goes from the talus bone (the major ankle bone) to the fibula (the outside leg bone). The ATF is the most commonly sprained or strained ankle ligament. With lateral support from the inner ATF strap (see red dashed lines in photo), this lace-up ankle brace provides superior protection against ankle injury. Vertical and horizontal elastic permits up and down ankle movement.
